Advena Med is a protocol bench in Vienna. The seven labelled locks, the PDE5 comparison, the briefings and the questions Dr. Hofer answers exist so you can see how a medicine is plotted on the label. None of that text is a personal plan. None of it diagnoses you. None of it decides the milligram you should swallow tonight. The consultation teaches a general rule. It does not build a regimen for the person who wrote in. Erectile dysfunction can be the first public sign of a heart or vessel problem, which is one more reason a real assessment comes before a tablet.
A page has never met you
Nothing on this host stands in for a clinician who holds your notes, knows the rest of your list, and can examine you. A lock describes how a drug behaves across many people. Your prescriber works out how it fits one person. Treat what you read as background, check it against the current FDA label, the EMA or MedlinePlus, and take the printout to someone who can see the whole picture.
The nitrate rule stays absolute
Tadalafil, sildenafil and vardenafil must never be taken with a nitrate of any kind: a prescribed heart medicine such as nitroglycerin or isosorbide, or a recreational popper. The combination can drop blood pressure to a dangerous level. If you take nitrates, or might need emergency nitrate treatment for chest pain, these tablets are not a decision to make from a webpage. Ciprofloxacin keeps the boxed warning
Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone. Fluoroquinolones carry an FDA boxed warning for tendon rupture, lasting nerve damage and central-nervous-system effects. It is not a casual antibiotic for a cough or a simple urinary infection where a narrower drug would do. If you are prescribed it, stop and seek advice for sudden tendon pain, new numbness or tingling, or a sharp change in mood or sleep.
Gabapentin is tapered
After regular use, gabapentin should not be stopped in one step. That can trigger withdrawal and, in people with epilepsy, seizures. It also multiplies the sedation and breathing risk of opioids, alcohol and other depressants. Any change belongs with the prescriber who started it.
Antiparasitics treat parasites
Mebendazole and ivermectin have approved parasitic uses. Neither is a treatment for viral infection. Taking human ivermectin, or a veterinary formulation, for something it is not labelled to treat can cause harm and treats nothing it was not meant to treat.
